Joe Hamrick

Beginning at a young age, Joe Hamrick has worked as a professional in the entertainment industry. Growing up in St. Louis, Joe was fortunate to study with some of the most acclaimed teachers and choreographers in the Midwest as well as those touring from the east and west coast. In addition to live stage, Joe has appeared in print campaigns for Ralston Purina, R.C.Cola, Trend Masters and Dillards and commercially for Busch Stadium, Tjelmeland Tires and Ralston Purina.

Joe began his higher education as a dancer at Lindenwoood University in St. Charles, Missouri. During this period of time he had the privilege of being a member of the Mid America Dance Company (MADCO), a well-known Midwest modern company. Other opportunities soon led him to Oklahoma City to complete his studies at Oklahoma City University where he received his Bachelor of Performing Arts.

Upon graduation he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dancing and acting. After arriving there he continued his training with many prominent Hollywood choreographers. His west coast career soon began as he toured with R&B artist Jahzmyne, and pop vocal star Alexandra Bachelier. His television credits include Scrubs, Thirty Days Until I’m Famous and various appearances on Disney, VH1 and NBC. He can also be seen in Herbie: Fully Loaded, Downtown the movie, Elizabethtown, The Perfect Lie and Zombie Prom featuring RuPaul.

After three years in L.A. Joe decided to moved to NYC to be able to study with the teachers there and pursue the arts on the east coast. He has been a member Dance 2XS NYC and The Movement in which he had the privilege of dancing at The Apollo Theatre.

Joe has been teaching dance since the age of twelve, and has had classes in St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles and NYC. He has also been teaching in-studio workshops for the last 8 years traveling to cities all over the United States. He looks forward to the future and is ready to Pay it Forward by teaching young dancers and becoming an asset to the arts community in the Kansas City area.
